For five years,
the Cologne KunstFilmBiennale has accompanied the current and ongoing trend of contemporary art towards narrative cinema. In their search for media fusions of image, sound and movement, more and more artists are using film as an artistic medium, working with experimental abstraction, staged documentations or narrative fiction. Cinema has now reached art museums and galleries, while, at the sametime, art is making its way into the cinema. |
